Session I: 9:30-10:00 Zack and Tyrell
Day 1.Went Over the Self-Assessment test
Day 2. Finished Self-Assessment test, then had them fill out their information paper.
Day 3. Started to read the book The Pharaoh's Dream we got to page 8.
Day 4. Finished the book, then found about two vocabulary words before they had to leave.
Day 5. Finished writing all five vocabulary words down on note cards, also asked them to interview an elderly person for me.
Day 6. Went over the book one more time and the vocabulary words.
Session II:10:00-10:30 Alan and Alisa
Day 1. Went Over Self-Assessment, had them fill out their information.
Day 2. We started on the book The Pharaohs Dream and got to page 7.
Day 3. We all read and finished the book, then wrote down 5 vocabulary words
Day 4. Gave them note cards and wrote down each vocabulary word and what the definition was.
Day 5. Reread the book with them, asked them to summarize it for me. Quizzed them on the vocabulary they wrote down. Asked them to Interview an elderly person and write a short paragraph about it.
Day 6. Reread the book with them, went over the vocabulary with them also.
Session III: 10:30-11:00 Trevion and Jazman
Day 1. Went over Self-Assessment, had them fill out their information.
Day 2. Read the book The Pharaoh's Dream and finished it. Also went through a different book and looked at pictures on how they built the Pyramids, and mummified the Pharaoh's.
Day 3. We reread the book, asked them questions about Pyramids, and Pharaohs.
Day 4. Had them summarize the book for me, went through and found 5 vocabulary words. Had them write the vocabulary word and the definition on a note card
Day 5. Reread the book with them, quizzed them on the 5 vocabulary words we found. Asked them to interview and write something about an elderly person.
Day 6. Summarized the book, and then went over the vocabulary with them.
Session IV: 11:00-11:30 Frank, Jonathan, Fernando,and Edgar
Day 1. Went over Self-Assessment, had them fill out their information.
Day 2. They finished the Self-Assessment, then I asked them what they knew about pyramids, Pharaoh's, and Egypt.
Day 3. Started reading the book and finished it right before they left.
Day 4. Went over the book again, and wrote down 5 vocabulary words that they had trouble with
